Burkhard Blechschmidt

Burkhard Blechschmidt is an experienced leader in CIO advisory services and digital transformation, currently serving as the Head of CIO Advisory for DACH at Wipro Limited since June 2021. Additionally, Burkhard provides expert advice to the European Commission and serves as an advisor at Spherity, which focuses on secure identities and digital twinning solutions. Previously, Burkhard held the position of Executive Director for Europe at TEAM International and led the CIO Advisory practice at Cognizant, where responsibilities included expanding consulting services and driving transformational growth for clients. Burkhard's extensive background also includes a partnership at Infosys Lodestone, overseeing significant IT strategy initiatives in the communications and entertainment sectors, and a senior managerial role at Accenture, where strategic IT transformations for major corporations were led. Burkhard holds a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Cologne and a PIM Certificate in International Management from HEC Paris.
