Chair, String Department at Wisconsin Conservatory of Music

Talia Pavia is a highly experienced violin instructor and musician, currently serving as Co-Chair and faculty member of the String Department at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music since September 2018. Pavia has held the position of Associate Principal Second Violin at Camerata Chicago since October 2006 and operates the Talia Pavia String Academy, focusing on fostering a love of music through expert instruction. Previous experience includes teaching at the Merit School of Music for twelve years, where a diverse student body was engaged in various musical disciplines, and serving as Adjunct Faculty at Elgin Community College and Aurora University. Pavia's extensive background features roles such as Concertmaster for the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic and instructor at Triton College, alongside academic support at Northern Illinois University. Pavia holds a Master of Music and Performer's Certificate, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, both from Northern Illinois University.
