Tamara Starr

Tamara Starr is an accomplished professional with diverse experience in journalism, user experience design, and leadership. Currently serving as a News Reporter at WTEN-TV since October 2022, Tamara also functions as the Founder and Editor of Emperial Samaritan, a news site dedicated to highlighting philanthropic stories in the Capital District and NYC. In addition, Tamara works as a UX Research and Strategy Lead at Optum, where responsibilities include implementing DesignOps and managing user research studies. With a background in freelance writing for Pro Sound News and prior roles in pharmacy liaison and communications, Tamara's educational credentials include a Master's in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College and a degree in UX/UI Design from Columbia University.
