Deborah Chen is a seasoned financial management professional with extensive experience in budget formulation and analysis within federal agencies. Currently serving as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Budget Director at the U.S. Small Business Administration since September 2019, Deborah previously held significant roles at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, including Assistant Budget Director of Data Analysis and Senior Budget Analyst, where leadership of a data analysis team and formulation of comprehensive payroll projections were key responsibilities. Deborah's earlier career includes a position as a Budget Analyst at the Social Security Administration, where management of an $11 billion operating budget and preparation of materials for Congressional hearings were primary duties.
