Dr Jon Rudd

Dr. Jon Rudd serves as the National Performance Director for Swim Ireland since January 2017, overseeing the national swimming and diving programme in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland while leading a team of coaches and sports science practitioners. In addition to this role, Dr. Rudd is a member of the Selection Committee for the International Swimming Hall of Fame, Chair of the Swimming & Open Water Coaches Committee for World Aquatics, and holds various positions within the World Swimming Coaches Association and European Aquatics. Dr. Rudd has also contributed to Cycling Ireland as a member of the International Selection Appeal Panel and has been the Aquatics Team Leader for both the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Games. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Education from the University of Exeter, a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire, and a Master of Science in Sports Science from the University of St Mark & St John, among others.
