Admir Softic serves as the Assistant Minister of the Energy Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2008, and holds several key positions in various organizations, including Vice-Chair of the Group of Experts on Coal Mine Methane and Vice-Chair of the Group of Experts on Renewable Energy at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. With extensive experience in energy management and policy, Admir Softic is also a member of the World Energy Council’s Communications & Strategy Committee and serves as the Secretary General of the Bosnian Herzegovinian WEC Member Committee. Additional roles include Focal Point for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and Vice-Chair of the UNECE Committee on Sustainable Energy. An Assistant Professor at the University of Tuzla since 2009, Admir Softic possesses a Ph.D. in Mining Technology from the University of Tuzla and has completed various certifications related to energy management and environmental protection.
