Alison Cassells

Alison Cassells is a highly experienced Senior Story Producer currently with the World Food Programme (WFP), providing leadership in strategic content development and stakeholder collaboration since March 2023. Previously, Alison held multiple roles at WFP, including Senior Story Producer (Story & Content Team Lead) from April 2020 to October 2022, where responsibilities included producing high-quality story content aligned with WFP's communications objectives. Earlier experience includes positions at UNHCR as an Associate Fundraising Communications Officer, focused on donor engagement and multimedia content production, and at UNOPS, where Alison worked as a Communications Consultant/Assistant, producing content across various platforms. Additional roles encompassed work with UNICEF and other organizations, providing expertise in communication strategy, content creation, and emergency response. Alison holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies & Communication from Lund University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications & Sociology from Simon Fraser University.
