Carla Cooper

Carla Cooper is a seasoned professional in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, currently serving as the Head of Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the World Food Programme since June 2021. Previously, Carla held various roles at IBM, including Diversity and Inclusion Leader, where significant contributions were made towards anti-racism initiatives, gender parity, and disability inclusion. Carla's experience extends to Afrizan People Intelligence as the Head of Group Human Resources & Operations and includes positions at Rand Merchant Bank and Standard Bank Group, focusing on public sector development and human resources operations. An early career stint as an International Cultural Representative at The Walt Disney Company showcased Carla's commitment to cultural representation and employee training. Carla holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resources from the University of South Africa.
