Makino Yuka

Makino Yuka is a Technical Officer for Oral Health at the World Health Organization since June 2019, contributing to health promotion initiatives. Prior experience includes serving as a Technical Officer in the Health Promotion Unit at the World Health Organization from March 2016 to March 2019, where focus was on oral and school health. Makino Yuka also interned with UNICEF in late 2015, assessing menstrual hygiene in school settings and making policy recommendations. Early in the career, experience involved coordinating oral health programs in Cambodia under the Organization of International Support for Dental Education and interning in the Oral Health Programme at the World Health Organization. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD in Preventive Dentistry from Niigata University, along with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the same institution.
