Dusty Pilkington

Dusty Pilkington is an advanced geospatial specialist currently working at Woven Planet Holdings since August 2021, focusing on quality assurance and control of data annotation processes. Previously, Dusty served in the same role at CARMERA from August 2019 until the company's acquisition by Woven Planet, where responsibilities included enabling mapping efforts for autonomous vehicles through analysis and digitization of geographic data. Dusty's earlier experience includes working as a GIS Technician/Land Use Planner for Kittitas County, managing land use GIS data and project proposals, and serving as a Graduate Assistant at Central Washington University, where instruction in GIS and Remote Sensing was provided. Additional roles include tutoring at Weber County Academic Outreach and conducting water-related land use analysis as an iFellow for the iUTAH project, contributing to research on water sustainability. Dusty holds a Master's degree in Cultural and Environmental Resource Management from Central Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Weber State University.
