Olivia Thompson

Olivia Thompson, PhD, is a Technical Development Specialist II at WuXi AppTec, where responsibilities include leading custom studies and providing feedback on protocols, with a focus on qPCR method validation and assay development. Previously, at the University of Georgia, Olivia served as a Graduate Research Assistant, receiving support from the National Science Foundation while characterizing yeast strains and identifying genetic targets for compound tolerance. Olivia also taught microbiology lab techniques and coordinated case studies within various undergraduate courses. Earlier experience includes research roles at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee, focusing on biofuel production and genetic research.
