Ric Newell

Ric Newell currently serves as the Director of Safety at Wynn Las Vegas since November 2017. Prior to this role, Ric held the position of Director of Safety & Health at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas from August 2013 to October 2017, where responsibilities included directing and managing safety activities across various operations while successfully establishing a strong safety culture that achieved 3 million hours without a lost-time injury. Ric also worked as a Safety Manager at New York-New York Hotel & Casino from August 2011 to July 2013, and previously as a Safety Specialist and Safety Manager at MGM Grand and Tropicana Las Vegas, respectively. A foundational career began with a tenure in the United States Air Force as Facility & Safety Manager, with education credentials that include an Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner degree from Nevada SCATs and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management/Finance from Park University.
