Claire Rosalie Smid, PhD, is a skilled data scientist currently employed at Xelix since April 2023. Prior to this role, Claire was a Data Science & Data Engineering Fellow at Faculty and served as a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First. Claire completed a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at UCL, where extensive research on reinforcement learning models and fMRI data analysis was conducted. With experience as a Cognitive Neuroscience Research Assistant and various internships, Claire has a strong background in psychological experiments and statistical modeling. Claire has presented at numerous international conferences and supervised undergraduate research projects successfully. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Neuroscience and Cognition from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences from University College Utrecht, among others.
