M. Reza MohammadiM, PhD is member of the XOStem Science Advisory Board and received his PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a concentration in exosome therapy. His research demonstrated the cellular and molecular pathways underlying the therapeutic efficacy of exosomes in treating a multiple sclerosis model in rodents. He developed a hybrid biomaterial that regulates the local immune system nearby to cellular implants, protecting the transplanted cells from host immune attack. Prior to his PhD work, Dr. Moammadi was a research scientist at Stanford University where he focused on interactions between nanomaterials and the immune system. .
