Mark Szepieniec

Mark Szepieniec is an experienced professional in machine learning engineering and data science, currently serving as Associate Director of ML Engineering at Xyme, where the focus is on AI-driven enzyme design. Prior to this role, Mark held positions at Exscientia as ML Platform Lead and Senior Software Engineer, and at Amazon Web Services as a Data Scientist, leading customer-facing ML projects. Additional experience includes data scientist roles at NStack and ONZO, where contributions involved model design and implementation for retail and energy analytics. Mark also worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Entrepreneur First, and conducted a PhD at Tyndall National Institute, specializing in electron correlation in quantum transport. Mark holds a Master of Engineering in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Materials Engineering from KU Leuven.
