Dr. Leslie Torres-Rodriguez is an experienced educational leader currently serving as a Lecturer at Yale University since January 2023, and as Superintendent/CEO of Hartford Public Schools since January 2015. Previous roles include Acting Superintendent of Schools and Assistant Superintendent within Hartford Public Schools, as well as Associate Program Coordinator for the LEAD CT Turnaround Principal Program at the CT Center for School Change. Dr. Torres-Rodriguez held principal positions at the Capitol Region Education Council's Public Safety Academy and Great Path Academy, and worked as Director and Assistant Principal at Manchester High School. Early career experiences include serving as an Adjunct Professor at Capital Community College and as a School Social Worker at E.C. Goodwin Technical High School. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut and a Doctor of Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University, along with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut.
