Irene Echeverria Altuna

Irene Echeverria Altuna is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of neuroscience, currently serving as the President of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK/CERU) since October 2019, where also held roles as Vice President and Director. Concurrently, Irene is a Doctoral Student at the Wellcome Trust and has a significant teaching background at the University of Oxford, including roles such as Demonstrator and Module Leader. Previous positions include Vice President of RAICEX and a Public Engagement with Research Associate at The Ashmolean Museum. Irene's educational background includes a PhD and MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, a dual Master's in Brain and Mind Sciences from Ecole normale supérieure and UCL, and a BSc in Neuroscience from UCL. Additionally, Irene has contributed to various organizations and initiatives, including serving as a volunteer and communications officer in multiple research and student societies.
