Marcelo Lejeune is an undergraduate researcher at Yale University since February 2024, focusing on the technoeconomic and life cycle analysis of co-produced acid from electrochemical ocean alkalinity enhancement with the Eisaman Lab. As a fellow of the 776 Foundation's inaugural cohort since June 2022, Marcelo participates in a two-year program aimed at young leaders worldwide. Marcelo is the founder of BlueGreen Materials, an initiative that produces carbon negative concrete from ocean resources, recognized with multiple awards including the 2022 Ocean Exchange Collegiate Award and the Yale Innovation Summit Golden Ticket Award. Previous experience includes serving as a climate tech analyst at Marble and conducting research on carbon-negative building materials during an earlier tenure as an undergraduate researcher at Yale. Marcelo pursues a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering at Yale University, anticipated to graduate in 2025, and has completed education at UWC Atlantic College from 2017 to 2020.
