Lauren Lightfoot

Lauren Lightfoot is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in leadership and academic development within public school systems. Currently serving as a Resident Principal at YES Prep Public Schools since July 2019, Lauren collaborates with the lead principal to enhance outcomes for students and staff. Prior positions held include Lead Director of Academics and various roles at KIPP Texas Public Schools, where Lauren focused on academic programming, teacher development, and instructional leadership. Additionally, Lauren has contributed to professional development initiatives at the Center to Support Excellence in Teaching at Stanford and supported Teach For America corps members as a Humanities Content Consultant. With a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, Lauren's expertise spans curriculum design, data-driven decision-making, and fostering student success through innovative teaching practices.
