Thomas Brandt

Thomas Brandt is currently a Board Member at YMCA of Central Maryland. Thomas has held this position since December 2016. Prior to that, they were the CFO and Board Member at TeleCommunication Systems, Inc from January 1997 to December 2016.

Brandt has an extensive background in finance, having served as the SVP & CFO at Digex, Inc from January 1996 to December 1997. Thomas began their career in 1973 at Price Waterhouse and has since held various roles at different companies.

Under their leadership at TeleCommunication Systems, Inc, the company saw a revenue growth from $25M in 1998 to $400M in 2015. Thomas was also responsible for the company's $90M IPO in 2000 and facilitated the closing of 12 acquisitions, 3 divestitures, and over $200MM in incremental capital raises and refinancings.

From 2009 until the company's sale to Comtech Telecommunications, Inc in 2016 for $430M, Brandt served as a member of the Board of Directors.

Thomas Brandt has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Science and Economics from Duke University. Thomas is also certified by the State of Maryland as a CPA (inactive).
