Elyas Yari currently serves as a Settlement Advisor at the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario, specializing in community engagement and advocacy for newcomers and refugees. With extensive experience in program coordination, Elyas has been a Program Coordinator for Camp Afghanistan since November 2018, efficiently managing volunteers and enhancing program operations. Previous roles include Settlement Officer at COSTI, where thorough intake and assessments facilitated tailored settlement plans, and Resettlement Counsellor at Polycultural Immigrant & Community Services, focusing on orientation sessions and client transition support. Elyas also worked as a Logistics Officer, overseeing logistical operations at the Port of Entry.
