Since 1873 the University YMCA has sponsored programs, organizations and activities dedicated to fostering ethical and principled leadership dedicated to building a better world, better human relations and better care for the Earth. We help students build leadership skills in a real world context. We facilitate conversations that contribute to actions, advocacy, and efforts to make change in the C-U community and the world.

The Community Outreach Team at the YMCA of the University of Illinois works to bridge gaps between diverse cultural communities and the broader community through direct support and services. Comprising specialists for various groups, including Korean, Chinese, and Latine communities, and an Intercultural Development Trainer, the team fosters inclusive dialogues, provides tailored assistance, and promotes ethical, principled leadership to build stronger, united communities.
