Kevin James Karas

Kevin James Karas is an experienced Board Governance Manager at Yoga Alliance since November 2021, where responsibilities include supporting the Board of Directors and CEO through project management and resource development. As Executive Director and various consulting roles at ELEVATE AKRON INCORPORATED since August 2015, Kevin has demonstrated leadership in nonprofit governance, community engagement, and programming aimed at making yoga and wellness accessible. Kevin is also the Founder and CEO of Holistic Leaders LLC, providing consulting services to yoga studios and teaching yoga and meditation. Kevin's prior experience includes roles at The University of Akron, where duties ranged from teaching assistant to student engagement coordinator, supporting student success and leadership development. Kevin holds a Master of Arts in Communication and a Bachelor of Arts with multiple majors from The University of Akron.
