Lesley Steeds

Lesley was appointed as the Surrey County Council representative on the Young Epilepsy Trust Board and Education Governing Body in June 2017.

Lesley started her career in accountancy. A founder member of the Women’s Association for Corporate & Certified Accountants, Lesley did a Teaching Certificate and became a lecturer in Business Studies. During that time a family business was started and culminated in being awarded the Royal Warrant to H.M. Queen Elizabeth. Lesley has a B.A in political studies and M.A. in English Literature. Lesley has worked voluntarily in the community for many years and has been a Governor of two schools in Tandridge and worked at Headway, Uckfield with ABI clients. Lesley has also completed a three year counselling course and is a qualified hypnotherapist as well as studying other complementary and alternative therapies. Lesley has been involved in politics for many years and is the District Councillor for Dormansland and Felcourt and most recently elected the Surrey County Councillor for the Lingfield Division.
