Alva Presbitero

Alva Presbitero is an Applied Scientist at Zalando since December 2023, and has been an Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Management since January 2020. Presbitero holds significant expertise in data science and research, having served as a Chief Science Research Specialist and Senior Data Scientist involved in the DOST-PCIEERD grant project “MINERVA,” as well as leading the smart city project PATURO. Previous experience includes a Senior Data Scientist role at TE Connectivity, where machine learning solutions were developed to enhance quote approval processes, and substantial research roles while pursuing PhDs at the University of Amsterdam and ITMO University in Computational Science. Presbitero's earlier career also includes positions in software development at Macquarie Group and research roles in the University of the Philippines. Educational qualifications comprise PhDs in Computational Science, a Master of Science in Physics, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics.
