Mustafa Abubakr

Mustafa Abubakr currently serves as a USAID Program Assistant at ZemiTek, providing support to the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance and the Office of Global Policy, Programming, Partnerships, and Communications since October 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Program Associate and Program Associate at Meridian International Center, where engagement in the International Visitor Leadership Program focused on nonpartisan diplomacy and cultural collaboration. Mustafa held positions as a Program Assistant at Muslim Family Services of Ohio, supporting the local Muslim community, and as an intern at the Reeb Avenue Center, addressing community needs. Additionally, contributions were made as an Office Assistant in the Peace Corps and as an intern for The Wilson Center, where involvement in the Africa Program enhanced administrative and research skills. Mustafa earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and International Relations and Diplomacy, with a minor in Arabic, from The Ohio State University from 2017 to 2021.
