Gisela Lanza has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry. Gisela began their career as a post-graduate trainee at Siemens Automotive in 1998. Gisela then spent six years at SiemensVDO Automotive, where they rose to the position of Vice President. In 2006, they became President and CEO of Hella, where they spent seven years. In January 2014, they were appointed President and General Manager of BorgWarner Inc., where they worked until October 2019. Lanza is currently a Board Member at ZF Group.
Dr.-Ing. Gisela Lanza studied Electrical Engineering at the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, and received their diploma in engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) in 1989. Gisela then continued their studies at the University of California, Berkeley, USA, where they received their doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in electrical engineering in 1992.
