Erik Buskens

Erik Buskens is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in health economics and medical technology assessment. Currently serving as the Scientific Director of the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health and a Professor at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen since January 2016, Erik Buskens is also a Professor of Medical Technology Assessment and the Program Director for Healthy Ageing at University Medical Center Groningen. Additionally, Erik Buskens participates on advisory boards for various organizations, including 113 Zelfmoordpreventie and ZuidOostZorg. With a significant academic background, including a PhD in medicine from Erasmus University Rotterdam and ongoing leadership training from INSEAD, Erik Buskens has made notable contributions to educational programs and research in health economics, shaping the development of MSc and post-graduate curricula.
