Ayse Asatekin is an Associate Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Tufts University since September 2012, focusing on the design of innovative membranes for water treatment and pollution removal. Asatekin also serves as a Senior Scientific Advisor at ZwitterCo, Inc. and has held multiple roles in Clean Membranes, where R&D efforts were led to commercialize fouling-resistant membrane technology developed during doctoral studies at MIT. Additionally, Asatekin has co-founded a startup for membrane technology, participated in research at MIT as a post-doctoral associate, and instructed undergraduate courses. Asatekin holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
