John Eckman

John‘s been working in professional services agencies for over 20 years. Before becoming the CEO of 10up in 2014, he was Managing Director at ISITE Design. Prior to that he was a Senior Director at Optaros, Director of Application Development at PixelMEDIA, and a Director / Principal Consultant at Molecular.

He has served clients from early-stage startups to the Fortune 50, as well as higher education and the non-profit sector. He’s been focused on open source since 2006, is one of the founding organizers of WordCamp Boston, and has given talks at many WordCamps and DrupalCamps, as well as numerous content management and digital strategy conferences.

He received a BA from Boston University, an MA & PhD from the University of Washington, Seattle, and an MIS from Northeastern University.
