Jeff Mellen

Jeff Mellen is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leading and developing software applications in both the biotechnology and energy efficiency sectors. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer at 10X Genomics since December 2015, Jeff contributes to the development of the Xenium onboard user interface and oversees single-cell analysis projects. Prior roles include Full Stack Engineer at Lucid Design Group, Senior Software Architect at HealthTell, and Software Architect at Bio-Rad Laboratories. Jeff's career began with various positions, including Vice President of Engineering at Brooklyn Packet Company and Senior Software Engineer at 23andMe, emphasizing user interface development and team management. Jeff holds both M.Eng. and S.B. degrees in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
