Dan Massie

Dan Massie has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Dan is currently working at 10x Banking as VP of Architecture, where they have held multiple positions starting from Principal Engineer to Head of Platform Architecture. Dan previously worked at OpenCredo as a Principal Engineer, providing coaching and technical direction across various teams. Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Lead at Equal Experts. Dan also has experience as a Senior Developer at Guardian News & Media, Beamly, and Financial Times, where they worked on various projects involving technologies such as AWS, Scala, and Java. Before pursuing their career in software development, they spent a year traveling and worked as a Director/Senior Java Developer at Kokiri Software.

Dan Massie obtained a BSc with First Class Honours in Computer Science from the University of Strathclyde from 2000 to 2004. Dan also has additional certifications in Principles of Reactive Programming and Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera, as well as certifications in MongoDB for Developers and Sun Certified Developer for the Java 2 Platform from 10gen and Sun Microsystems, respectively.
