Mike Balfour OBE

Mike Balfour OBE has worked in various roles in the fitness industry since 1992. Mike began their career as the Founder and CEO of Fitness First, transforming a bankrupt squash club into the world's largest chain of fitness clubs with 550 clubs in 21 countries, 1.5 million members, and 20,000 employees. In 2007, they became the Chairman of The Hideaways Club, offering discerning travellers an equity share in a diverse portfolio of luxury villas, chalets and apartments. In 2008, they became the Chairman and Investor of Ocean Village Health Club Ltd and in 2009, they became the Chairman and Investor of Atlantic Suites Health Club Ltd. In 2012, they became the Chairman of Jatomi Fitness, the largest chain of fitness clubs in Eastern Europe, with 65 clubs across Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Malaysia and Indonesia. In 2014, they became a Business Mentor for MikeBalfour.com, helping small businesses in Asia and Europe achieve their business dreams. In 2015, they became a Non-Executive Director of 1Rebel UK. In 2017, they became the Chairman and Investor of Vaping Global Ltd, and in 2019, they became the Chairman and Investor of the Bike Club.

Mike Balfour OBE attended Brockenhurst College from 1966 to 1968.
