Nathan Smeal

Nathan Smeal has been working in the software engineering field since 2008. Nathan began their career as a Research Assistant at Harding University in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Software Engineer at SAIC, developing .NET internal tools to verify and validate airworthiness. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at COLSA Corporation, where they were the tech lead on a CMMI 3 certified project for a web based contract management system based in ASP. NET MVC stack. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Archarithms, Inc., developing event based models for a Java radar simulation framework, managing automated data processes for aviation safety group, and C++ software analysis for independent verification and validation for real-time systems. Currently, they are an AI Software Engineer at 1st Edge LLC.

Nathan Smeal received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Harding University between 2005 and 2009. Nathan then went on to receive a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2016 and 2020.
