Lauren Durigon has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Lauren began their career in 2004 as a Laboratory Assistant at the University of Guelph, where they worked until 2011. In 2008, Lauren had a student placement at Waverly Drive Public School. Lauren then pursued a career in occupational therapy, starting as a Student Programmer at St. Joseph's Health Centre in 2010. From 2011 to 2012, they had various student placements at different healthcare facilities. In 2012, they joined Therapy Partners Inc. as a Student Occupational Therapist. After that, Lauren worked at Homewood Health Centre as a Student Occupational Therapist before joining Hillside Festival as a Student Occupational Therapist in 2013. Lauren transitioned to RNS Health Care Services Inc. in 2013, where they worked as an Occupational Therapist until 2018. Finally, in 2014, Lauren became the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist at 1to1 Rehab, where they are currently employed.
Lauren Durigon has a comprehensive education history. In 2013, they completed a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Level 1 program at McMaster University. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2013, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Occupational Therapy/Therapist at McMaster University. Lauren also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Adult Development, Families, & Well-being from the University of Guelph, which they earned between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being an Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer for Ambulation Aids, Seating, Wheelchairs (manual and power), certified in CPR and First Aid, achieved competency in scoring the Chedoke McMaster Stroke Assessment (CMSA), and completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
