Coen van Paassen has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Coen started their career in 1992 as a (National) Sales Manager at Merck Sharp & Dohme, where they gradually took on more responsibilities and managed teams of sales representatives and regional sales managers. In 1999, they became the Director of Economic Affairs, optimizing market conditions for MSD drugs and co-developing policy. Coen later became the Marketing- & Sales Manager for the Business Unit, overseeing the marketing and sales activities. In 2007, Coen joined Bausch+Lomb as the General Manager for the Netherlands before moving to a consultancy role in healthcare from 2009 to 2011. Coen then worked as the Marketing & Sales Director for EMEA at Atrium/ MAQUET from 2011 to 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Sales Director at 3-D Matrix EMEA, where they have been since 2020.
Coen van Paassen pursued their education starting in 1989 at the Dutch Institute for Marketing, where they completed a degree in Marketing Management, specifically earning NIMA A + B certification. Coen went on to attend the University of Groningen from 1998 to 1999, where they achieved a Bachelor's degree in Brand Management. Later, in 2004 and 2005, Coen enrolled at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, where they obtained their MBA in Business Administration.
