Damian McKay

Damian McKay is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon at Southern Health and Social Care Trust since March 2012, specializing in colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, laparoscopic surgery, TAMIS for early rectal cancer, and emergency and palliative colonic stenting. Since January 2012, Damian has also served as a Consultant Surgeon at Kingsbridge Healthcare Group. From March 2017 to April 2021, Damian was the Northern Ireland Cancer Network Colorectal lead clinician under the NI Health and Social Care Board. Damian completed a CSSANZ Colorectal Fellowship at Royal Adelaide Hospital from January 2011 to January 2012 and underwent Higher Surgical Training at Northern Ireland Surgical Deanery from August 2006 to January 2011. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MB BCh BAO) from Queen's University Belfast (1995-2000) and high school education at St Mary's Grammar Magherafelt (1988-1995).
