Michelle Harjani

Michelle Harjani has a diverse work experience in product design and technical roles. Michelle currently works as a Senior Product Designer at 37signals, starting in August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Momentus, A Softvision Studio as a Senior Product Designer from February 2021 to July 2021, and as a Product Designer from August 2017 to January 2021. In these roles, they were responsible for designing leading technology solutions for clients such as Shell, Nestlé, Barnes & Noble, Relativity Space, and Signal. Michelle also led design sprints and discoveries and saw projects through launch.

From August 2019 to July 2021, Michelle worked at Apple as a Technical Expert, where they analyzed and repaired products, educated and mentored team members on new processes and products, and led internal projects for the Genius Bar and the store. Prior to that, they served as a Technical Specialist from November 2017 to August 2019.

Before their work at Apple, Michelle gained experience as a Product Design Intern at Basecamp in 2016 and as a UX Engineer, Co-op at UrtheCast from January 2016 to May 2016.

Michelle also has experience in infrastructure and IT roles, having worked as an Infrastructure Assistant & IT Administrator at Medeo from 2013 to 2015.

Michelle's career began in 2010 when they founded Jachava, where they developed over 40 iOS apps and 7 Android apps, many of which reached the #1 spot in the App Store. Their work focused on sports, news, entertainment, and reference apps, and they achieved success with both paid and free apps.

Michelle Harjani obtained an Executive Certificate in Strategy & Innovation from the MIT Sloan School of Management from 2018 to 2021. Previously, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Digital Media Technologies with First Class Honours from the University of Greenwich in 2017. Prior to that, Michelle completed a Diploma in Digital Design & Development with Distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2016. Additionally, they hold certifications such as Apple Certified iOS Technician and Apple Service Fundamentals.
