Victor Bogo (He/Him)

Victor Bogo has a strong background in site reliability engineering and software engineering. Victor began their career in 2012 at OpenTech Soluções em Logística e Segurança, where they worked as an Infrastructure Technician, solving hardware and software problems and performing computer maintenance. In 2014, they moved on to SoftExpert Software for Excellence as a Software Engineer, developing artifacts using web technologies and object-oriented PHP and Java.

Victor joined ContaAzul in 2015 as a Software Engineer, focused on billing and payment systems. Victor played a key role in building and maintaining the company's own payments infrastructure. In 2018, they transitioned to the role of Site Reliability Engineer at ContaAzul, where they were responsible for the cloud infrastructure and implementing important practices such as post mortems, automation, SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and monitoring. Victor also managed a self-managed Kubernetes cluster on AWS and worked with technologies such as Docker, Prometheus, AWS, Grafana, Opentracing, Jaeger, and Java.

After leaving ContaAzul in 2020, Victor joined Pier as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they established the DevOps/SRE culture from scratch and implemented practices such as post mortems, incident response, and key engineering metrics. Victor also worked on monitoring, logging, PostgreSQL maintenance, and AWS security.

In 2021, Victor joined QuintoAndar as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. The company is an online real estate services company similar to Airbnb, with a large number of microservices and Kubernetes nodes.

Most recently, Victor joined Intricately as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. Intricately is a data company that provides go-to-market technical information to tech companies. Victor worked on projects such as building Terraform modules, evaluating solutions for database migration, and handling security tasks.

Victor Bogo's education history begins in 2011 when they attended Colégio Cenecista José Elias Moreira, where they obtained their high school degree. From 2012 to 2013, they pursued an associate degree in Information Systems at the same institution. In 2014, they enrolled in Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, where they studied System Analysis and Development Technology, specializing in Information Technology. During the same year, they also completed an external course in Java Programming at SOFTMAP Training.

In terms of certifications, Victor obtained the TOELF ITP certification from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) in October 2015. Victor further achieved the Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer certification from Oracle in May 2015. In October 2019, they obtained the LFS201: Essentials of Linux System Administration certification from The Linux Foundation. Victor then earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020. Victor'smost recent certification, the CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, was obtained from The Linux Foundation in October 2021.
