Kevin Sullivan has a diverse work experience, starting as a Navy Port Inspection Diver in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1992 to 2002. After that, they held various roles in business development at Viron Therapeutics Inc. from 2003 to 2011, eventually becoming the Vice President of Business Development. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Chief Operating Officer of Viron Therapeutics, leading the team in raising over $35M in capital. Kevin then became the Chief Executive Officer of DeNovaMed Inc. from 2013 to 2015. Following that, they were a Management Consultant at Decell Technologies for a few months in 2015. In the same year, they founded Appili Therapeutics and served as the Founder & CEO until 2019, during which the company became a clinical stage company with multiple pipeline programs. In 2014, they were a founding investor at Swept. In 2019, they became the President of Crimson Research Inc., providing strategic consulting to the Life-Science and Drug Development industry. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of 3D BioFibR Inc., a company that has developed a proprietary and efficient process for making high-quality biofibers.
Kevin Sullivan's education history begins in 1989 when they attended Prince Andrew High School. Kevin then went on to Dalhousie University from 1992 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Immunology. Following that, from 1999 to 2001, they attended McGill University for a Graduate Certificate Program in Biotechnology. Finally, Kevin completed their education at the Ivey Business School at Western University, where they obtained an MBA in Biotechnology from 2001 to 2003.
