Louis Sklenarik has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Louis started their career as a Correspondent for the Meriden Record Journal, where they reported on high school sports and wrote articles. Louis then worked as a Telemarketer at That's Great News, where they made cold calls, recruited potential customers, and sent informational emails.
Louis later interned at Clear Channel Communications, specifically working with Fox Sports Radio on The Paul Nanos show. During this internship, they managed and edited audio files and brainstormed show topics. Louis gained further experience in sports media as a Statistics Analyst I at ESPN, where they monitored live feeds from sporting events, created play-by-play and box scores, and collaborated with coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
Louis also worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Buick GMC of Watertown, where they photographed, wrote copy, and developed strategies for purchasing used cars for inventory. Additionally, they monitored the inventory feed and advised on digital advertising specials and creative.
Prior to their current role, Louis served as a Public Relations & Social Media Specialist at LIMRA, where they integrated messaging and brand across all communications platforms, engaged media and external stakeholders, managed content for social media platforms, and supported the development of presentations for the president's speaking engagements.
Louis also gained experience in the field of recreation as a Program Supervisor at Cheshire Park and Recreation, where they supervised a high school basketball program, ranked players, generated weekly statistics, and organized drafts for teams.
Currently, Louis is the Director of Sales and Marketing at 3Dconnexion, where their responsibilities include planning and executing direct communication, managing the marketing team, maintaining relationships with resellers and partners, and directing sales teams for key account engagement.
Louis Sklenarik earned a Master's Degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Sacred Heart University from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, Sklenarik obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communications with a specialization in Advertising and Promotions from Southern Connecticut State University, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Sklenarik's educational journey began at Cheshire High School, where they completed their General Studies from 2008 to 2011.
