Sofia Valkonen

Sofia Valkonen is an experienced professional in the biopharmaceutical industry, currently serving as an Analytical Technician at 3PBIOVIAN since February 2024, focusing on cell and virus-based analyses and downstream processing of viral vectors. Previously held roles include Bioprocess Engineer at both 3PBIOVIAN and Biovian, specializing in downstream processing of virus vectors and high-quality plasmid DNA. Sofia has contributed as a Project Researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, examining plasmid-dependent RNA-bacteriophages, and co-founded Ralla Oy, where involvement included early development investor and endorser. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Science in Nanoscience and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Jyväskylä, complemented by additional studies at the University of Eastern Finland and the University of Aberdeen. Sofia also serves on an occupational health and safety committee since January 2024.
