João Luís Ribeiro

João Luís Ribeiro has worked as a Senior Frontend Developer at 42 Technologies since 2020, where they are responsible for the company's Retail analytics product suite. João Luís has also worked as an External Lecturer at ESTG - Politécnico do Porto since 2019, where they lecture on Software Engineering and Information Systems disciplines, with a special focus on Web/Mobile Development. Prior to this, they worked as a Frontend Developer at Kelvin Inc. from 2018 to 2019, where they were responsible for Software engineering and Data Science platforms. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Frontend Developer at Blip.pt, where they were responsible for the PaddyPowerBetfair's Mobile and Desktop exchange site. In 2013, they worked as an Idea Promoter and Developer at IAPMEI - Passaporte para o Empreendedorismo, where they were the Team Leader of an entrepreneurial project. Additionally, they worked as an Honorary Researcher at University of Liverpool - Comparative & Functional Genomics in 2013, where they used Bioinformatic Algorithms to cross large data files of connections. Finally, in 2012, they worked as a Web Developer and Student IBM Ambassador at IBM - Community of IBM Software Products (in collaboration with IBM Software Laboratory), Toronto (C), where they were responsible for the maintenance of the BigData University site.

João Luís Ribeiro completed a BSc in Computer Science Engineering from Universidade do Minho between 2007 and 2011. João Luís then pursued a Bioinformatics PostGraduate from the same university between 2011 and 2013.
