Ashley C. Verhines has a varied work experience. Ashley C. began their career in 2013 as the Communications Director for the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability's Action Research Teams. In this role, they instructed a 50-person undergraduate course and led program communications, interviewed and selected students, oversaw research direction, co-led weekly research report outs, served as liaison between researchers and program stakeholders, assessed final reports and presentations, and graded coursework. In 2016, Ashley began working at the Building Energy Exchange as the Manager of Programs and Partnerships. In this role, they worked with senior leaders at the city and state levels, major players in NYC real estate, private utilities, environmental advocacy groups, academia, cleantech, and more. In 2018, the Building Energy Exchange became the founding International Centre of Excellence on High Performance Buildings as a part of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe's (UNECE) effort for implementing UN Sustainable Development Goals. In 2020, Ashley began working as a Supply Chain Consultant for Freelance and also began pursuing a Supply Chain Management MicroMasters from Massachusetts Institute of Technology | edX. Most recently, in 2021, Ashley began working as a Logistics (Operations) Manager for 475 High Performance Building Supply, an e-commerce company and multinational distributor of high-efficiency building products and passive house construction needs.

Ashley C. Verhines received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Environmental Science, Environmental Systems and Society from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ashley C. is currently enrolled in a MicroMasters program in Supply Chain Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they are expected to complete in 2023. Ashley has also obtained five certifications from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology via edX, including Supply Chain Design, Supply Chain Technology and Systems, Supply Chain Dynamics, Supply Chain Fundamentals, and Supply Chain Analytics.
