Candy Underwood (nee Szaj)

Candy Underwood (nee Szaj) has over 28 years of experience in HR roles spanning various industries. Candy'scurrent role is VP of HR at LPi, where they lead the HR team in creating exceptional employee experiences. Prior to LPi, Candy served as an HR Leader at QPS Employment Group, navigating complex employee relations challenges and developing proactive employee programs. Candy also served as a Human Resources Business Partner at Northwestern Mutual, where they played a strategic role in workforce planning and organizational design. Candy's earlier experience includes roles as an HR Generalist at Assurant Health, Assistant V.P. at State Financial Services Corp., and Sr. HR Generalist at Frank F. Haack & Associates / Zywave, Inc. Candy also served as a Director of Human Resources at Luitink Manufacturing and started the first formal HR function at Gehl's Foods. Candy began their career as an intern at Generac.

Candy Underwood (nee Szaj) pursued their education diligently over the years, focusing on a range of subjects. From 1985 to 1990, they attended New Berlin West High School, where they delved into various academic disciplines such as high school studies, AP English, AP Biology, and advanced chemistry. Following their graduation, Candy moved on to Carroll University, where they embarked on a four-year journey from 1990 to 1994. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree, immersing herself in the fields of communications, political science, and business administration. Not content with their achievements, they continued their educational trajectory, enrolling at Marquette University from 1997 to 2003. Here, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Resources, further enhancing their knowledge and proficiency in this field.
