Lauren Kuhns

Lauren Kuhns currently serves as a Content Associate at 80,000 Hours since July 2023. With a strong academic background in psychology, Kuhns has been an instructor and thesis supervisor at the University of Amsterdam since August 2015, teaching courses in psychobiology and supervising numerous thesis projects. As a PhD candidate in Developmental Neuroscience, Kuhns has designed and executed research on the effects of substance use on the brain, managing large neuroimaging datasets. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School and various research assistant positions at Yale University, focusing on quantitative and qualitative research in psychology. Kuhns holds a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Yale University.
