E. Morrey Atkinson

E. Morrey Atkinson is the current Director at 89bio. Prior to this, they served as SVP-Global Manufacturing Operations at Bristol-Myers Squibb from June 2012 to June 2020. They also served as Chief Scientific Officer, Vice President of R&D and Drug Substance Manufacturing at Cook Pharmica from January 2011 to June 2012. Atkinson began their career as a Scientist at Geron from January 1994 to December 1995. They then served as Vice President - Development at Targeted Genetics from January 1995 to December 2002. Lastly, they served as Head of Biotechnology - Manufacturing Sciences and Technology at Eli Lilly from January 2002 to January 2011.

E. Morrey Atkinson first attended Indiana University Bloomington, where they studied biology and obtained their Bachelor of Science degree. E. then went on to Stanford University to study biological sciences, earning their PhD.
