Marion Bavand

Marion Bavand has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Marion began their career in 1979 as a Lab assistant, clinical test development at Böhringer Mannheim GmbH. Marion then served as a Visiting Scientist at the Weizmann Institute of Science from 1985 to 1986. In 1993, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist at ISREC. Marion then joined Berna Biotech Ltd in 1995 and worked as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager until 2001. From 2001 to 2002, they were the Head of Regulatory Affairs at Kuros Therapeutics AG. Marion then moved to Kuros Biosurgery AG, where they held the positions of Director of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance from 2002 to 2008, and then QA Director from 2008 to 2012. Marion later joined Zimmer Biomet in 2012 as a Postmarket Surveillance Manager. In 2016, they began working as the Business Process Director at ChromaCon AG. Currently, they are the Head of Quality Assurance at InSphero AG.

Marion Bavand has an extensive education history. Marion started their educational journey with a Pharmacy Apprenticeship at Westend Pharmacy in Stuttgart, Germany from 1975 to 1977. Following this, they pursued a Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA) program at Berufskolleg Institut Dr. Flad Stuttgart, which they completed in 1979.

Marion then attended Reutlingen University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Dipl. Ing. (FH) degree in Chemistry. Afterward, they continued their studies at the Weizmann Institute of Science, completing a Master of Science (MSc) degree from 1986 to 1988.

In 1988, Marion enrolled at the University of Zurich, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. Marion successfully completed their Ph.D. program in 1993.

To further enhance their business acumen, Marion pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Webster University. Marion graduated from the program in 1997, further expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of business.
