Detlef Steck

Detlef Steck has a long and varied work history. Detlef is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Business Development at 9T Labs, and Business Development at Bota Systems AG, both starting in 2021. In 2020, they were a Senior Business Advisor at AXCEL Partners. From 2019 to 2021, they were an Independent Owner at STEDEA. From 2005 to 2021, they were a Member Board Of Trustees at TECHNOPARK® Zürich Foundation. From 2016 to 2021, they were the President, X-Ray Segment at Comet Group, and the Geschäftsführer at YXLON International. From 2012 to 2021, they were a Member Board Of Directors at Hightech Zentrum Aargau AG, and a Group Senior VP, Region Division Manager Central Europe Discrete Automation and Motion, and Division Manager Discrete Automation and Motion, Switzerland at ABB.

Detlef Steck obtained their Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zürich in 1991. Detlef then went on to receive their Master of Business and Economics from the University of St.Gallen in 1994. Subsequently, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Engineering from ETH Zürich in 1996. In 2021, they obtained a Scrum – Grundlagen certification from LinkedIn. Most recently, in 2019, they earned a VR-CAS HSG (Certified Director for Board Effectiveness) from Swiss Board School.
