Janne Mäkelä

Janne Matilainen serves as the Creative Director at PiKL Worldwide since May 2023 and is a Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Gigle, a company focused on digitizing live performance management through a white label SaaS product, since September 2016. Previously, Janne held the position of Creative Director at Playforia Inc from March 2008 to March 2015, where the development of games and collaborative content achieved over 1 million monthly active users. From September 2001 to April 2008, Janne co-founded and directed Aapeli Creative Solutions, which launched a successful online game service known as Aapeli, recognized in multiple countries and among Finland’s youth. Early career experience includes serving as Art Director at Saunalahti Oyj/Jippii Group Oyj from April 1999 to September 2001, contributing to one of Finland's most popular websites and creating early mobile phone logos and online comics. Janne Matilainen completed studies at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 1997 to 1999.
